Biography
Kathryn is currently a partner at Fogler, Rubinoff LLP practicing in the areas of wills and estates. Kathryn has extensive experience in estate planning and estate administration. She drafts wills, powers of attorney and trusts for individuals with various financial and personal circumstances. Kathryn has contributed to several professional publications and has had her work published in the Trusts and Estates Section Newsletter. Kathryn is a recurring member of the Trusts and Estates Section Executive of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA), currently the Chair, and a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP). She received her Juris Doctor at the University of British Columbia and was called to the Ontario bar in 2012.Secretary (Sections)

Biography
Demetre Vasilounis assists clients with a variety of wealth management and estate and family planning issues. Demetre regularly drafts wills, powers of attorney, domestic contracts, deeds of trust, and other documents relevant to succession planning. Demetre’s practice has a specific focus on the management of digital assets, including online accounts, cryptocurrency, and various forms of intellectual property.
Demetre is an associate in the Private Client Services group of Fasken LLP's Toronto office. He has a broad estates and trusts practice with an emphasis on the evolving relationship between estates law and technology. Demetre has developed and implemented cohesive estate plans for clients involving a wide range of different family and corporate structures. He has also advised on probate planning, disability planning, charitable gifting, asset protection strategies, cross-border estates and tax issues, personal privacy, and family law matters.
Demetre Vasilounis graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, where he received the Dentons Canada LLP Award for academic excellence in the first two years of law school and for his significant contributions to Osgoode through his role as Vice Chair of its Student Caucus. He also received the Legal and Literary Society Student Honour Award, the Cassels Brock & Blackwell Prize for Professionalism and the Jenny Haggart Award for demonstrated commitment to community work. During law school, Demetre worked as a Division Leader at Community and Legal Aid Services Programme, assisting clients with immigration and criminal law matters. Demetre also spent a semester abroad at Waseda Law School in Tokyo, Japan, studying comparative and international law.
Prior to law school, Demetre obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts with a major in Professional Writing and a minor in Film from York University. There, he graduated Summa Cum laude and received the Stong College Master’s Award for Academic Excellence. He has written for York University’s Excalibur Newspaper, and was a member of its chapter of the Golden Key Honour Society.
Outside of law, Demetre currently volunteers as an ESL Teacher at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, a Panelist at Anime North, and an Event Leader at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. Demetre enjoys learning about Japanese popular culture, training in Muay Thai and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, filmmaking, songwriting, and playing his ukulele and ocarina.

Kathleen Robichaud is a sole practitioner practicing in Manotick, Ontario. Her practice is a solicitors practice meaning she works in the areas of Real Estate Law - both commercial and residential; Wills and Estates - including Estate Planning and she also practices Business Law including Incorporations; Partnerships; Buying and Selling a Business and Succession arrangements for businesses and business owners. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1999. Kathleen is an active member and volunteer with the Ontario Bar Association as well as the Canadian Bar Association. She has been working to help the Associations do better at providing programming and services that meets the needs of sole and small firm business lawyers and the kinds of clients and transactions they work with. Kathleen has worked primarily as a sole practitioner throughout her years of practice. Kathleen organizes, moderates and co-chairs Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for lawyers regularly and has done so for several years.
