Camilla Zhang
Biography
Camilla Zhang is an Assistant Crown Attorney in the Newmarket office. Camilla previously served as a Crown Prosecutor in Alberta. Her prosecution experience spans a broad range of criminal offences, including complex fraud, sexual violence, firearms offences, and first-degree murder. She regularly appears before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, where she conducts jury trials and litigates Charter applications. Before entering prosecution, Camilla clerked with the Provincial Court of Alberta, interned with the Alberta Law Reform Institute, and completed her articles with criminal defence counsel. This varied background informs her well-rounded perspective on criminal litigation. Beyond her legal practice, Camilla is an avid sailor and an active volunteer in the legal profession and the broader community. She serves on the Royal Canadian Yacht Club’s Governance Committee, as an executive member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Criminal Justice Section, and as Public Affairs Liaison for its In-House Counsel Section.
Gwen Cheung
Biography
Gwen is an experienced in-house lawyer with Aviva Canada, one of the property and casualty insurance groups in Canada. She leads a team of lawyers and legal professionals that supports and focusses on delivering quality value-add legal solutions to the business. Gwen is called to the bar in Ontario and Western Australia and has international work experience. Gwen also volunteers as a member of the Canadian Bar Association Well-Being Subcommittee.
