Hyunju (Crystal) Park
Biography
Hyunju (Crystal) Park is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office, with a practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate reorganizations, and corporate finance matters. She advises private companies, investors, and strategic acquirers on domestic and cross-border transactions. Crystal has experience across the full transaction lifecycle, including structuring deals, conducting due diligence, and drafting and negotiating transaction documents. She regularly works on share and asset acquisitions, reorganizations, and strategic investments, and provides practical, business-oriented advice in fast-paced deal environments. Her experience also includes working on significant recent nuclear projects including the complex negotiation of the financing terms of a new standard modernized reactor design and the drafting of bespoke loan agreements related to integrated nuclear project agreements for a first-of-a-kind SMR project. Her practice includes cross-border transactions involving Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and jurisdictions across Asia, with a particular focus on China and South Korea. She brings an international perspective, and is particularly interested in complex, multijurisdictional transactions. Crystal is actively involved in the legal community, including leadership roles with the American Bar Association Business Law Section, the Ontario Bar Association Business Law Section, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the ITLNCA Networks Association. She holds multiple graduate legal degrees from leading law schools in South Korea, Macau SAR (China), and Canada, complemented by executive education in mergers and acquisitions and financial analysis and valuation.

I am a solo practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience. I advise entrepreneurs, start-ups, SMEs and not-for-profit organisations across diverse industries, including manufacturing, private equity, real estate, energy, infrastructure, public-private partnerships (3P), and non-profit sectors. Before launching my firm, I worked and gained experience at several prestigious international full-service and boutique business law firms in Canada and Türkiye. Since September 2025, I have been a member-at-large of the OBA Business Law Section's Executive Committee. When I'm not acting for clients, I dream of the day I will return to motorcycling. I am a solo practitioner with nearly 20 years of experience, advising entrepreneurs, start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and not-for-profit organisations across various industries. My expertise spans manufacturing, private equity, real estate, energy, infrastructure, public-private partnerships (PPP), and the non-profit sector. Before establishing my firm, I worked at several prestigious international full-service and boutique business law firms in Canada and Türkiye. Outside of my practice, I look forward to the day I can return to motorcycling in the countryside, be a great father to my two sons, take long walks with my spouse, and persuade my two feline Chief Wellness Officers that I am their favourite human.
Monique Therese Rabideau

Monique Rabideau is the Practice Lead, Capital Markets and Securities for Practical Law Canada at Thomson Reuters. Practical Law Canada is a web-based legal solution. A team of expert lawyers creates and maintains updated information and precedents that provide legal know-how to lawyers, clerks and law students. Monique is a director and Past Chair of the Board of the Dancer Transition Resource Centre, the national charity that has been helping dancers across Canada make necessary transitions into, within, and from professional performing careers since 1985. Monique was a director of Orford Mining Corporation, a TSX Venture-listed gold and critical mineral explorer that was operating in Northern Quebec and eCobalt Solutions Inc., a TSX-listed company that was advancing a primary cobalt project in Idaho. Monique graduated magna cum laude from McGill in 1988 then obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto in 1991 after which she joined Fogler, Rubinoff LLP, a full service law firm in downtown Toronto. After 5 years, she was made a capital partner and left the firm after 22 years of private practice in the business law department. Monique assisted a variety of businesses with their legal needs, such as compliance with legal obligations and regulatory matters, corporate governance, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, borrowing, lending, issuances of securities and drafting documents such as disclosure, correspondence and agreements. She has also acted as secretary to many boards of directors. Clients have been in a wide range of industries and have ranged from private corporations solely owned by an individual to publicly-traded conglomerates. Monique has acted for dealers on financings through private placements and public offerings as well as their corporate acquisitions and reorganizations. She also has experience assisting registrants with their regulatory obligations.
Kathleen Louise Robichaud
Biography
Kathleen Robichaud is a sole practitioner practicing in Manotick, Ontario. Her practice is a solicitors practice meaning she works in the areas of Real Estate Law - both commercial and residential; Wills and Estates - including Estate Planning and she also practices Business Law including Incorporations; Partnerships; Buying and Selling a Business and Succession arrangements for businesses and business owners. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1999. Kathleen is an active member and volunteer with the Ontario Bar Association as well as the Canadian Bar Association. She has been working to help the Associations do better at providing programming and services that meets the needs of sole and small firm business lawyers and the kinds of clients and transactions they work with. Kathleen has worked primarily as a sole practitioner throughout her years of practice. Kathleen organizes, moderates and co-chairs Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs for lawyers regularly and has done so for several years. She has been a previous speaker at Law Society CPD programs as well. She is a member of the County of Carleton Law (CCLA) Association and an active volunteer with the CCLA as well including acting as co-chair of the organizing Committee for the East Region Solicitors Conference.

I am a Corporate Commercial Lawyer with over a decade of legal experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Law from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and am qualified to practice in both India and Ontario. Before beginning my practice in Canada, I worked in Bahrain and India, advising a wide range of businesses on corporate structuring, compliance, and governance matters. My practice focuses on Corporate Commercial Law, including corporate transactions such as incorporations, amalgamations, rollovers, share transfers and revivals. I also draft and review a variety of legal documents, such as agreements, resolutions and termination letters. Additionally, I support not-for-profit organizations and charities with by-law drafting, compliance guidance, and regulatory updates.
