The result of a merger of the Metropolitan Immigrant Settlement Association and Halifax Immigrant Learning Centre, ISANS is the largest immigrant-serving agency in Atlantic Canada.  ISANS offers a wide variety of settlement services to assist the integration of immigrants who arrive in Nova Scotia.  ISANS has a permanent Pro Bono Law Student volunteer position and volunteers from the legal community provide legal services including, for example, a series of free legal information workshops for immigrants.
